YOUR WORK DAY
06:00 a.m.
My day begins with the shift handover. Here, I discuss the sequence planning for the wheels currently being painted, any malfunctions that have occurred, news and the work to be done with the previous shift.
06:15 a.m.
Next, I check the settings for the paint booth and then visually inspect the wheels.
06:30 a.m.
During my daily rounds as a painter, I check the paint supply, especially the paint levels. In the paint store, I get an overview of the current stock and prepare the required paints.
07:00 a.m.
I fill out my shift handover report, check all wheel batches and prepare for any paint changes. I can check the paint usage list to see where each type of paint is applied.
08:00 a.m.
During the final inspection, I check the wheels in the serial defect rack and look at the current production. Then I look at the faults from the previous shift on the computer and enter the filter pressures for the system.
09:00 a.m.
Now I'm doing my big tour of the plant to check that all the robots and the entire conveyor system are working properly. If I notice anything unusual with the plant, I immediately inform a mechanic or electrician.
12:00 p.m.
Lunch break. I go to the canteen and get something to eat.
12:30 p.m.
Next, I check other wheels and prepare to clean the paintwork.
01:15 p.m.
The end of the working day is approaching. The final preparations are being made for the shift handover. I clean the floor with the washing trolley. Then I enter the faults, paint changes and news in the plant log and inform my colleagues during the shift handover.
02:00 p.m.
Now I'm off work.
